Why pruning is essential for our lives

A bouquet of flowers by me

The sky is gray and white with clouds, and crows are swirling around, like someone stirred tiny vanilla seeds in milk.

I just snipped some dead flowers from a bouquet and now it looks a bit empty because the dead, moldy flowers were giving it some volume. So though it is healthier overall, it looks “less”.

Talking about pruning and letting go, my mind has been productive but frantic this week. And I like my mind at peace. So I have been thinking of what do I need to let go of.

Though right now I am reluctant to prune things, because I am afraid that my life's bouquet would look empty for a while too, even though it would be healthier overall.

It is the end of the year and it's anyways a good time for reflection. So I am going to let these thoughts brew for now and come back to these in my year-end relflection.

Does your life need some pruning?

Thank you and till later!
